Background

Jo Foley has over 12 years experience of devising and delivering art based projects in schools and community workshops throughout Manchester and the UK.  Working with diverse client groups and age ranges, in both educational and community settings she creates beautiful shows, events, and parades, site specific artwork and installations.

Creative Collaborations

Jo regularly works with artists, schools, events organisations, community teams, and theatre and television companies on collaborative projects including: Fiona Smith, Walk the Plank, Groundwork Trust, Creative Partnerships, Manchester, Salford and Stockport Event Teams, the NHS, Z-Arts, Pif Paf, Pow- wow Eco Arts, and Venture arts.

Community Workshops & Training

Jo offers high quality participatory workshops, school based arts training for educational and community groups using a wide range of visual arts. Jo is a qualified Arts Award Advisor and is able to support young people working towards Discover and Explore Certificates. Workshops include lantern making, willow work, recycled arts, mosaic, murals, felt making, masks & puppets, and the creation large scale props and costumes for parades, carnivals and celebratory events. Jo aims to ensure her work includes all parts of the community, working with the ideas and traditions of the diverse communities, and ethnic groups living throughout the UK.
